Hi

I kept on getting the blue screen of death on my Laptop. The error messages were pointing to possible Hard Disk, BIOS or virus problems.
In the end i reinstalled XP......But no matter what i did i could not fully format my hard disk.

During installation XP format hung at 75%

Tried KILL DISK DOS utility.... also hung at 75%

Tried HDD Regenerator Dos utility....found thousands of bad sectors but could not repair them all. Left it running for 2 days.

I could quick format 100% during XP installation & install windows, but the blue screen of death soon came back.

In the end i brought a new H/D.

Is there anything else i could have done to FULLY ERASE & repair the bad sectors on my old H/D.

I also need advice on this if it happens again on my new Disk
