installing a graphics card

i have got hold of a 128mb graphics card - i 4ght i'll get it as my onbroad graphics is taking 64mb of my 512 ram

now i aint a pc gamer i got a psp and xbox for that lol

but i wacked it in and it boots up fine but after 5 mins or so everythime move the mouse the screen goes black then it comes on i move the mouse and it goes black again

i been reading and i was wondering if it would be the psu as mine is 240v would this cause this ??
