New PT Cruiser Owner

Hi. Only just got a PT Cruiser Its Brill. Always wanted one. Love the retro look of them. Had trouble starting yesterday. RAC man said battery was flat. Anyone know how long batteries are expected to last. This is my first ever entry on a forum so please be nice!
