Got home last night and my PC had the blue screen of death!

Been a plonker I didn’t take the details down and just re-booted, the Motherboard couldn’t find the primary hard drive, after refitting the power connecter the BIOS recognised the primary hard drive but now kindly informs me ‘Error with OS’?

I know I could simply re-format the hard drive and re-install XP, but is there any other way?
