This member is the original thread starter. BtHub and networking problems

I have had a nightmare trying to install a BT hub using the disc provided today it gets to the part were it checks if there is a wireless adaptor present and comes up saying it can’t find it or it does not recognise the adaptor it then says connect the hub to the onboard pc ethernet port with the ethernet cable or the usb lead which comes with the pack and configure the wireless manually after the installation
So I used the ethernet cable I get the connection showing on the pc and click next to carry on the install but
The next window says installing usb driver’s wtf! no option to choose I am connecting it using the Ethernet cable not the usb lead it just installs the usb drivers then it says testing connection and comes back with there is a problem with the connection
So I start from scratch again this time using the usb lead this time it comes back with you are not connected to the right bt hub please make sure you are connected to the right hub well the only other hubs I have are the hub caps on me fkn car lol

I cancelled the installation took the usb lead out and viewed available wireless networks and the hub was there so connected to it using the default security key and it connected and internet works ok and can access, edit, etc the hubs home page also tried the ethernet cable and that connects and works ok so I tried installing using disc again and get the same errors as above
So my question is can I leave it as is. IE: working or have I got to get the installation process sorted using the disc provided with the BT hub
Thanks for looking.
