which freeview box should i get

hi folks
am a bit new to freeview in fact very new as i have sky and am just about to get my first freeview box for the footy and the likes .

so i thought i would ask the people in the know about the box i should get that makes it as easy as possible to use for codes and working in general , i also noticed in a feww other posts that there seems to be a problem with some boxes searching for updates and once it does that you are loosing the picture , so i wanjt to avoid that if possible and if not i can live with it

so any advice would be greatly welcomed
