how customs can treat you,or can they? hi,come home from spain by coach recently. brought back my allowance, 3200 plus 6kg for me and the mises. we entered dover and had to off load the coach as i think someone on board had their name on list as either tipped off or possibly been accross loads of times. anyway we got to the scanning bit where all the cases and bags get scanned,we got through only to find they shouted us back and decieded to check all the bags. i have read on the net and their home page that the officers are particulary interested and will ask questions if you have over this amount. as we stuck with the guidelines, are those the officers still have the rights to ask quetions like
1, when did you last travel abroad?
2,did you bring tobacco back then?
3,can i check out you passports to check where you have been, he went to another room to check out something or other, but didnt stamp them. he also took the recipt with him.
does this mean if you was to go abroad next month and brouht your limit, they have the right to take them off you? i ask this as it actually happened while we was in there. cheers
