This member is the original thread starter. freeview -does it work with internal aerial

Just bought myself a little LCD TV for my bedroom. I've no aerial point so I bought an internal aerial which Curry's electrical store says is freeview compatible. I installed everything and went throught the channel scan and picked up most except BBC One, BBC Two and a few others. When i phoned Freeview they said that their official policy is to advise customers not to use an internal aerial even if the manafacturer says its freeview compatible. Does anyone know if this is true ? I factory reset my TV and tried again and picked up the channels I was originally missing anyway. Just wondered if anyone else had probs with an internal aerial -- even one that claims to be freeview compatible.
