Can someone help me here please.

iam using windows vista, ive noticed that when i click on items (files, programs etc), see attachment picture ive included.

Normally the item clicked on would highlight in a blue colour, just like in windows xp etc too, well for some reason as you can see, when i click on items they stay white, i can only see a faint line round the item, thats all.

Ive tried going into advanced appearance settings to check that the colour for "selected items" is infact blue, and it is, i tried changing it to other colours but still it stays the same like in the picture ive attached.

Can someone tell me whats going on and a fix please.

if the picture ive attached shows as though the item ive clicked on is a bluey coulour on your pc, its not, its white, trust me, it must just be summit to do with how the picture is shown in here.
