This member is the original thread starter. D-link 604T & Asus mobo problem

Hi all
I have a Dlink 604T router and an ASUS P5W DH Delux motherboard.
When I am downloading large files the connection cuts off and I have to reboot both PC and router before my wireless connection restarts.
I have been in touch with Dlink and ASUS but they are no help whatsoever (it cld never be THEIR product that is at fault!)
Well, it is! The preamble (?) seems to be the problem here. But the 604T does not have a setting to change this, well none that I can see.
Has anyone any experience of this at all?
My laptop works without a problem and will keep the connection for days, but the PC in which the motherboard is installed wont stop cutting out. This is why I am sure that the problem exists between ASUS and Dlink only.
Any help wld make me a very happy lad.
Cheers
